Deforestation and assessment in Pátka

The black pine stand in the forest area was reached by pine destruction throughout the country.

The damage chain is linked to climate change. The intermittent lack of precipitation and the extreme decrease in relative humidity weaken the tree species, so that the fungus species that were already present cause leaf and door death.

The process eventually leads to the complete destruction of the trees. Dried or withered trees should be removed during sanitary logging.

In the event of mass destruction, a reforestation obligation arises. The value of the harvested tree individuals decreases compared to the healthy one. No logs or cuts can be made from them at all, or only in negligible proportions. Only fiber and chipboard remain a productive choice.
